First Day of School and A Summer Class

Today was my first day of school in 2nd grade.  I was excited to see my friends again at ANLC and we had two new students, their names are Lane and Bren.  Yes that means I have the same teacher and many of the same kids in my class.  I am working on a comic book with my Dad.  My comic book is about a girl who wanted to climb many peaks.  I will share it with you when it is finished.  Over the summer I took a programming class that my Dad was teaching.  It was called Gangplank Jr. and he taught us Scratch.  You can see my Gangplank Jr Aquarium program that I made here.  Let me know what you think.  And over the summer I also went to California.  We went to Oceanside and stayed on the beach for weekend.  I also read 23 chapter books.  One of them had 504 pages.  I will add book reports soon.  And before we went to the beach me and my sister, Zoe, went to North Carolina and spent 3 weeks with my Grandma and Papa.  I watch Bedtime Stories, like 1 million times.  Every time that I could watch a movie I don't watch anything else.

Little Late Than Never

This a picture of a house that I drew in my art class on Monday.  A house that is by one tree and two bushes and close to a hill that has some trees and a gate.  Hope you enjoy it, now I have to go eat dinner and finish watching Planet Earth.

My Art Class

I go to art every Monday after school and we see a picture that looks hard, but is actually easy.  We use a piece of paper to draw the picture on.  We look at the picture so we know what it is and then start step by step by step and then when we get to the hard part we have to stay on the same one together because if we don't then we will mess up.  We use markers and sometimes Sharpies to outline.  And sometimes we even use colored pencils.  I love to color!  I love my art class!!!

This week we had to draw a Pablo Picasso art drawing.  Here is the one that was hanging for us to copy:

He is one of the most famous artists.  He is my drawing (although I haven't finished coloring it):
